STUDENTS TOUT PRIVATE SCHOOL CHOICE: Nearly two dozen students and parents met with lawmakers this week to describe how private school choice has changed their lives. The meetings were arranged by the American Federation for Children, the advocacy group formerly chaired by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos. The students and parents came from Alabama, Arizona, D.C., Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin to meet with their home state representatives, including House Speaker Paul Ryan.
